Gambling Rules

Hey everyone. Due to the recent uptake in gambling, the Staff has decided to restate the guidelines and expectations for gambling, including staff recommendations for best guidelines.

To start off, please make use of Middlemen when doing large stakes. A middleman is either a staff member or well known member of the community, and they will host both parties’ stake, and award it to the winner.

When staking, please ensure that all stakes/trades/conversations are recorded as video/gif, using a tool such as ShareX or other video recording tool. This will help the staff team decide the correct course of action to take when asked to review someone being scammed.

Scamming is against the rules. If you believe that you have been scammed, a member of the staff team shall review any video evidence of the stakes that have occurred, and will provide a response as to what they believe is their best judgement. Examples of scams entail: logging out when losing a stake, not replying to private messages, and staking items that the player does not own.

Due to the larger amount of people attempting to scam other players, we will be introducing new guidelines to punishments in relation to staking.

If someone submits true evidence of a player scamming, the player will receive a one week jail. If the same player then scams again, they will receive a 1 month ban. A third time will result in a permanent ban across all accounts. The punished player will also not be unpunished until the agreed stake has been paid to the scammed player.

Staff decisions are final, and staff will not refund any items lost to any player. We advise to always use Middlemen when staking, and following this process will greatly reduce the possibility of being scammed when Staking.

How to start
  1. If you want to be a host - To be able to start, you will need a dice bag
  2. Dicing is a gambling game involving multiple sets of games. To begin with dicing, join the "Dicing" Clan Chat channel.
  3. Make sure you find a trusted host to gamble with - they should be authorised by a Moderator or member of Staff.
  4. If a host offers x3 winnings or if the hosts are not ranked in the dicing clan chat, they are most likely a scammer.
  5. By joining the CC, you will be able to see all rolls of the of the host - so you can track what the host rolls

DICE GAMES

Flower Poker

A popular staking method is Flower Poker. The aim of Flower Poker is to plant 5 mithril seeds, and the winner is whoever gets the most amount of pairs/triples/quads of the same colour flour. The standard rules of Flower Poker are Black/White Replant 5, which means if a Black or White flower is planted, then all 5 flowers must be replanted. Players may agree on BWrp1, and both players must explicitly agree on a different rule set for this to be the case.

3. 55x2

This is a fairly simple game, consisting of one mechanic. Place your pot to the host, and the host will call "55x2 (x*2) pot" - for example, someone who wishes to bet 2m will see the host say "55x2 4m pot".

The game works by the host rolling the dice, if the number is higher than 55, the player wins, if the number is lower than 55, the host wins. If the rolled number is on 55, the host may either take the winnings or break even. 55x2 runs on the basis of favouring the host's odds. Make sure you ask the host if they will break even.

More than 55 - Player wins
Less than 55 - Host wins
Hitting 55 exactly - Host win or Break even (Confirm with host beforehand)

4. Blackjack

This game is a similar concept to normal blackjack, however the closest to reach 100 wins.

Place your pot to the host, and state you wish to play blackjack, the host will then say "Blackjack (x*2) pot" - for example, someone who places a 2m bet will see "Blackjack 4m pot".

The player will go first, and roll a number - for example lets say 60. The player can then choose to Hit (roll again) or Stay (finish turn).
If a player chooses to Hit, and they roll a number, lets say that is 22, their new score will be 82. If a player chooses to Stay, then their turn finishes on them having a score of 60. If your overall score is above 100, then you automatically lose.

Once the player has finished their turn the host will roll. The host will do the same; however in this example lets say the player scored 82, the host will need to beat that number. If the host gets a higher number than the player, the host wins. If the host gets a lower number than the player and chooses to stay, the host loses. And if they go bust, they lose.

Player has closest to 100 - Player wins
Host has closest to 100 - Host wins
If your score is >100 - Automatic loss
